Furry Hobos N Hiway Hero"s transport forms

Furry Hobos N Hiway Hero"s

All paperwork must be completed prior to transport......

When our form n proof of vaccinations has been sent to me, via email , or FB chat then that dog is placed on list..and we see what drivers are available.

Rules.

Driver picks points of drop off n pick up.
Food, water, dishes, kennel is driver choice leash n collars walking harnesses are preference

There is a 20 minute window for pick up or drop off.
Since , we use chat during transport, this should not be a problem.

The drivers do not take road tours to meet . They volunteer to transport, but also have their job to do.
We do not charge for transport , so is entirely up to rescues if they want to show appreciation to driver.

Many give Tim Horton gift cards.

Dogs must be clean, kennels if used must be clean.

Is nice if a blanket is sent with dog , for either seat or floor.

Pls make us aware of any difficulties or problems the dog may have.

We have drivers that are more breed aware than others.

Should a driver have difficulties due to a transport, which would be because of the rescue,; the driver can
request that rescue be removed from group.

Note (please read carefully and sign below):
• If your group does not meet these requirements they may not travel. Please remember, the truck transporting is the driver’s home when on the road and should be treated with the same respect you would your own.
• Please note that while Furry Hobos N Highway Hero’s takes every reasonable precaution, we cannot control nor guarantee the sterility of the environment. As such there is always some risk involved in transporting an animal and the sending rescue agrees to that risk.
• We also accept no liability for those eventualities outside of our control such as delays or other unforeseen problems but we will maintain communication with the rescue(s) involved in the above listed transport until destination is reached.
• We except that all dogs have up-to-date core vaccines and rabies; please wait a minimum of 14 days after vaccinations and if the transported animal(s) is a stray from any situation the quarantine must be fulfilled properly. This is not to insult anyone but we all worry about parvovirus.
• We require medical documentation given to our volunteer, and our volunteer will give it to the receiving rescue or adopter.
• If dog(s) are on medication at the time of transport please include written instructions as to the dosage and frequency medication is to be administered and included it in the bag with the corresponding paperwork along with the medication itself.
Cont’d:
• Please de-worm, de-tick, de-louse, de-flea and heartworm test.
• Please send me a copy of this, together with proof of vaccinations before transport.
• Should a dog(s) be brought for transport, both the dog(s) and crate(s)/kennel(s) must be clean. All relevant and required paperwork must be placed in a plastic bag to travel with the dog.
• All dogs must be housebroken before being transported.
• Please take a photo of the dog(s) and attach to the corresponding paperwork.
• If the dog requires food or water during transport, it is up to the rescue to provide the driver with containers for both.
• Please ensure a properly fitted collar and leash is provided for the driver so they may take the animal(s) outside the truck for potty breaks and walks.
• Please ensure that the transport driver knows exactly how many animals they will be transporting. Transport drivers will NOT accept any animals that they are not on their transport forms. If an additional dog(s) need to be added to the transport last minute than another of these forms will need to be filled out and sent in and the transport driver will have the final say as to whether or not they can handle the additional passenger(s)
• Please do NOT attempt to send dogs that are in any way known to be aggressive.
IMPORTANT: By signing below I confirm that I have read all the above statements and agree with each statement.

  1. Hello I live in Fredericton NB, and am trying to get my puppy from Brantford Ontario. Do you have drivers that are willing to take a puppy?
